When Tarjung’s son becomes mysteriously ill, he reluctantly returns to the village in which he had been banished to seek help from Tehuna, the chieftain and father of his dead wife. 
 
Finding out one of the village’s patron totems has chosen to gestate within his son, the Tarjung must prepare his son to embark on a dangerous quest through a hellish parallel dimension.
 
Only by overcoming the challenges of the quest will the boy and his totem each gain the strength to mutually exist with one another and serve as a guardian for the tribe. If they cannot, they will both die. 
 
What dangers lie for the boy and the growing totem within the spiritual dimension?
